WikiReader:The "hidden" menus

Thanks to Thomas HOCEDEZ and his blogto discover some "hidden" menus, well if anything can be hidden when you can access to the source code :P ,  To access this menu/programs you must push one the keys along with the power button when you power on the device


history button +Power=Calculator


  seach Button+Power=Applications Menu , those apps are in the *.4mu files in the root dir on the sdcard, are written on a scripting language called Forth


random Button+Power=Serial console, if you have the cables righ attached on his internals of course :)


One of the apps accesible on the menu, LINE a simply line drawer using the touchpad .
This one will make enjoy my 3 years daughter :)

Fo-what? Forth? Well, I know

Fo-what? Forth? Well, I know Forth is efficient, and really good for low-power devices... But I really hate it! :-(

Anyway, it is really good so something like this is possible by default.

Hi Jiri, take in consideration than there is no OS , so there are really few alternatives if you want to include some scripting on the device. I'm reading this tutorial http://galileo.phys.virginia.edu/classes/551.jvn.fall01/primer.htm and yes it seems a very very low level programing, feeling near assembler but well you allways can use C and compile :)
